The Artmarket Gallery needed great graphics for the launch of the latest collection of work from Bob Dylan’s The Drawn Blank Series.
Large format window posters were printed using the latest large format printer from HP on back lit material. This created a semi translucent affect providing a striking visual impact in the widows.
The Drawn Blank Series is based on drawings made by Dylan while on the road from 1989 to 1992, which were then transformed into original watercolour and gouache paintings that visually evoke the stylistic hallmarks of Dylan’s prose, poetry and music.
In addition a set of outdoor pavement signs were created printed one of RollUpBanner.com’s HP Latex environmentally friendly printer. The inks although completely weatherproof are also biodegradable and contain no solvents.
In gallery point of sale was present in the form of premium roll up banners which were 800mm x 2100mm in height giving a lifelike and impactful presence in the gallery.
The Drawn Blank Series publishing programme of limited edition graphics commenced in 2008, with subsequent releases every year to date. The publishing programme, exclusive to Washington Green and Castle Galleries, generated huge worldwide interest leading to many of the pieces selling out immediately.
Charlotte Eva the gallery manager says: “It is an honour to have The Drawn Blank Series 2014 on display at The Artmarket Gallery and the graphics that rollupbanner.com have done are super.”
“Bob Dylan is notably one of the most influential icons of our time. We can’t wait to share this new collection with our clients in East Yorkshire and beyond.”
Only 295 limited edition graphics of each painting have been created, and each of the works are certificated and personally signed by Bob Dylan.
